Sorry for the LAAAATE night post. I just now did my workout for the day.  I got home from worship rehearsal shortly before 11pm, and I ate a little more dinner (because I ate only part of it in a rush before leaving for rehearsal), and then did 15 minutes of yoga.  I promise, I won’t be doing yoga all the time.  I just can’t pull off kickboxing at 11:15, and then try to go to bed.  I’m so delirious, I’d probably injure myself.

I’ll either do yoga or pilates tomorrow (I’ll have even less time to do it than I did today), and kick it into high gear Satuday.

SOMEthing is better than NOthing.  What did you do today? (yesterday by the time you may read this!)

Hey! I just thought I would write a quick comment to let you know that I’m proud of your for being intentional about working out. I think it’s so important and can impact every area of our lives. You are beautiful! God bless. Risa.

Thank you, Risa! That is so sweet of you! I wish the exercise was in my blood, but I am just not one of those folks, and I should accept that. But all the while, not accepting innactivity. ;) It IS important! Thanks :)

I will have to admit being a mom it’s really hard to eat healthy. I on many occasions will have to make two different meals so that I can stay on track. So, today I feel happy with my eating…except for the candy before bed. I had a 20 minute workout of aerobics and pilates. So, I can honestly say I feel pretty good about my day. I was thinking this might be a good place to swap healthy snack/meal ideas. I’m always looking for new things to try.

So good, Nichole. It IS tough when you’re mom. I hear lots of moms say that it’s also too easy to eat leftover scraps the kiddos don’t eat, or snack on their food while you’re preparing it. Don’t beat yourself up about the candy. You worked out, and ate well the rest of the day. In a book I have on having a healthy diet for fertility, that also promotes weight loss, they suggest keeping sweets to moderate proportions every other day. I thought, ‘That’s manageable!” Rather than never letting yourself have it, moderate it by not having it every day. It’s definitely a way of starting to reduce it, if you’re an every-day candy/sweets eater, anyway…

And, yes, to the snack/meal ideas. DEFINITELY.

ok, i completed day 2 of 30 day shred. not quite sure how i did it considering i can barely walk or move my arms today. it’s that “good” sore though. i had motivation to work out today after i was asked if i was pregnant!!!! (and i’m not!) hopefully i can be disciplined this weekend with exercising….20 minutes really isn’t too hard to fit into my schedule i just need to do it!

    • Angie Says:

For crying out loud, Cara, you do NOT look pregnant!! If that was a resident at one of the facilities you’ve been frequenting, don’t trust their judgment! Ha! I once had a resident at Post Acute tell me that my bottom didn’t stick out as much as it had been (while I was on a slight weight loss kick)! I didn’t quite know what to say :)

So proud of you for the day 2 of the shred. Sometimes it does feel like 20 minutes is even hard to do, but before you know it, it’s over! For the weekend, depending on how busy you are, probably the earlier the better, huh? (I’m working at Post Acute tomorrow–half a day. Gonna have to do my workout first thing.
